The third edition of the Chemomics school took place from October 17 to 20, 2022 in Sète, France. This school is organized by members of the scientific communities Metabohub (W4M) and Chemoocs / Chemhouse (Chemflow) with the continuing education department of INRAE ​​Montpellier. Metabolomics and chemometrics form two different communities with many common points. The objectives of this third edition are still to improve one's level of understanding of the statistical methods used in chemometrics and metabolomics, and to be able to apply them. Discussions around methodological questions were encouraged in order to continue to bring these two communities closer together, and to initiate areas of joint work that will continue beyond the school. Thus, the “discovery”, “discussion” and “participation of all” aspects were at the heart of this school based on the pedagogical principle of the barcamp, or unconference, which takes the form of participatory workshop-events where the content and deliverables are provided by the participants and their activities.

The program alternated between courses and practical work with learners' data:

• Parameter adjustment and model validation
• Normalization and transformation
• Regressions
• Multi-block methods

This school brought together 25 doctoral participants, researchers, engineers from institutes and people from private companies.
